reportsia operates reportsia.net. This page sets out which entries the site places on your device, why they are used, what happens when a cookie notice is accepted or rejected, and how an answer can be withdrawn.
About cookies and browser storage
A cookie is a short text file that the site you are visiting places in your browser; it lets the site remember a setting or a decision you have made. Browsers provide similar mechanisms, in particular local storage, which keeps small entries until they are removed. This policy treats them in the same way.
Categories used on this website
reportsia.net is an information site: there is no customer account and no checkout, so only a few entries are needed. The strictly necessary category covers what the pages and the server require to work safely, including any entry that records an answer to a cookie notice, and, under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), it does not depend on consent.
The server that delivers this website sets one cookie of this kind. It contains only a random value, nothing that identifies you by name, and serves to recognise a returning browser and to protect the site against automated abuse. The cookie is renewed whenever you come back and is deleted 30 days after your last visit.
Storage periods
Some entries exist only while the browser window is open; others are given a defined lifetime so that a preference survives until the next visit. An answer recorded by a cookie notice is not set to expire and remains until you delete it or your browser clears it.
Content embedded from other providers
We do not embed services from other providers that would set cookies of their own. If a map, a video or a comparable element were added later, its provider could place entries on your device as soon as it loads, and this policy would be updated before such content goes live.
Advertising, tracking and personal data
We use no advertising cookies, no marketing pixels and no trackers that follow visitors to other websites, and information from your visit is not sold or passed on for advertising. Where it can be related to a person, our privacy policy explains the legal bases, the storage periods and your rights.
Consent and the cookie notice
If this website shows a cookie notice, it appears on your first visit with one button to agree and one to decline. Your answer is then kept as a single value in the local storage of that browser (localStorage); the notice itself sets no cookie. In another browser, on another device or where storage is blocked, it is shown again.
Withdrawing your consent and deleting cookies
Changing your mind is simple: remove the stored data of this website in your browser settings and reload a page, and the previous answer is replaced by a new one the next time you are asked. Browsers also let you manage cookies for one site or for all of them, usually in their privacy settings.
Changes and contact
We review this policy when the website changes, when new functions are added or when the rules develop; only the version on this page applies, and the date at the top shows its last revision. Questions can be sent to reportsia at hello@reportsia.net or asked by telephone on 01792 410286.
